So, our household is sick. Noah has had a fever on and off for the past three days as high as 102.2 and he's had cold like symptoms pretty much since he started daycare two weeks ago. He seemed to be getting better last week, but I'm still having to clean out his nose twice a day and he's a bit more clingy than usual. Adam took him to the doctor today and he has an inner ear infection. I'm thinking that it started out as a cold and moved into his ears over the course of the couple weeks. ALSO! (as if I needed something more) One of the kids at daycare had the chicken pox and Noah was exposed about a week ago to them. We haven't seen any signs of them yet, but you never know! Wouldn't that be fun...chicken pox AND an ear infection!
Adam has a cold as well. It's a pretty bad one complete with nasal stuffiness, sinus pressure, headaches, body aches...the whole nine yards. He's had a pretty bad cough and been really congested. I feel REALLY bad for him because it's hard enough having your child sick, but being sick yourself as well is really difficult. I am not sick now (knock on wood), however, I was really sick when Noah first got sick. Since he's still nursing a little, I tend to get the transfer from him when he's sick.
Noah doesn't normally go down for a nap well, but this is how you can tell he's sick:
He's asleep...on the floor of the pack and play....poor baby!
