Patience is....something I'm running short on

We need a vacation. Adam and I need some time to go out alone together. Noah is wonderful, but some days, I feel like we just really need some time to ourselves...especially after a night like last night. I think Noah might be getting more teeth because he's been a bucket of drool and he's been extra fussy lately. We went to the doctor on Thursday and they said that he is 19 lbs 9 oz, which is good, considering he's gained almost 4 lbs in 2 months! Yay! That is much improved from his last check up. We got him a flu shot and an H1N1 shot because he starts daycare on Monday and we were worried with him being exposed to other children, that his chances of getting it might go up. I felt bad because he wasn't supposed to have any shots at this check up, but we just felt that it was necessary given the circumstances. We'll see I guess!

From Crawling to Sitting to...Standing!

One of the downsides to having a full time job is that I miss out on a lot of Noah's changes. It's sad because at this time of his life, he's changing a lot and quickly. He started crawling at a rapid pace just recently and I can't even keep track of him anymore. This afternoon while I was at work, Adam sent me this picture:

Not only is he opening drawers, but cabinets as well. Adam said he was even side-stepping along the wine cabinet. It's just a matter of time before he starts full-fledged walking. I don't know if I'm scared or excited; all I know is that childproofing needs to commence ASAP!!!

Car Blues

I am not having the greatest day. I would like to say today has been a happy and productive day and that would be the truth, but only partially. I've gotten to spend time with my awesome family and we got Noah a "big boy" car seat, courtesy of my mom and stepdad, that he got to try out today, but other than that, today is not getting off to a great start. My car has been acting funny for a while now and I've been trying to wait it out until we get our tax return. As I'm still waiting on one of my W2's (that is notoriously late), we can't file yet. Boo! We looked at some used cars today at Jordan Auto and we found a Ford Edge and a Ford Escape that we really liked. We want to wait until we get my car fixed though, so that we can trade my car in and get a good amount of money back for it, so we don't have to put as much down. *sigh*

Our Family!

I don't even think I can begin to express how blessed I am to have such an amazing family. God blesses in mysterious and amazing ways, especially when you're not expecting it. The littlest blessings like a smile or a laugh can make all the difference in the world when you're having a rough or even just a long day. The biggest blessings to us are really just time together. Family time is so important, as is the time that Adam and I get to spend, just us, which is rare, but SO wonderful. We have wonderful family that watches Noah for us so that we can have "date nights," which also means we get a full night of sleep! Yay!

To Adam and I, the biggest blessing at present is sleep. Any and all sleep is a blessing. Noah is such a wonderful baby and the BEST child anyone could ask for, he just has had some problems sleeping which usually keeps one or both of us up for portions of the night. Thank God for perseverance and patience.

All in all, we are an incredibly fortunate family. We never go without and whenever we need something, someone or something is always there for us. We thank God every day for our blessings and we'll keep you updated on our wonderful journey together!
